The challenge with many video mediums is how stay relevant, tell a story worth telling and keep the audience interested and inspired. The recent film on ‘How to Make a Sick Edit’ is a perfect example of that cliched MTB film and the formula used, which in itself is inspired, funny and a story worth telling.

But not all are using a dub step soundtrack…

I recently stumbled across the below film by ex-racer and now film maker Darcy Turenne on the documentary inspired piece about MTB photographer Mattias Fredriksen and his friend and long time subject Janne Tjärnström.

The following film is a promotional piece from Santa Cruz for the launch of the Women’s Juliana range. The NZ landscape captured in this film and the idea of long riding days with friends has been beautifully captured and calls for a trip booked to Nelson as soon as possible. A mountain bike travel destination has never looked so inviting.

Beyond the race plates and MTB world cup circus there are still plenty of riders pushing it on another level. Seeking out adventures and creating their own stories. Huayhuash is a n exploratory film about travel, riding and pushing the envelope.

Keep riding…
